Jai Jinandra, Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagarji Maharaj is one of the well known modern Digambara Jain Acharya (Digambar Jain Monk). His life is the subject of this 2018 documentary film Vidyoday released by Landmark Films, which we will be screening on Sunday July 21, 2019 from 2 PM in the Auditorium. This documentary was made last year on his 50th Diksha Jayanti Celebration and depicts his glorious journey and immense inspirational work for Ahimsa, Humanity, Jeevdaya and remake of India as "Bharat". Acharya Shri is recognized both for his scholarship and tapasya (austerity). He was born in Karnataka and took diksha (undertook spiritual discipline) in Ajmer, Rajasthan, He currently spends most of his time in the Bundelkhand area where he is credited with having brought about a revival in educational and religious activities.He has written several Haiku poems and the epic Hindi Kavya "Mukamati".
