Panch Parmeshthi
Viddhan & Siddhachakra Pujan Description
|
The literal meaning of Pujä is adoration. Jain Pujä, as
a minimum, is for auspicious adoration to Tirthankars and their teachings,
strengthen our faith in Tirthankar’s teachings, enhance our spiritual
practice, and increase our endeavor for liberation and for maintaining the
temple and Pratimäji free of ritual-faults and keeping them pujaniya (worthy
of worship).
Panch Parmeshthi
Viddhan
In this pujan, we pay our respect to Arihanta, Siddhas,
Upädhyäys and all Sädhus. Together, they are called Pancha Paramesthi
(The five supreme spiritual people). In this Pujan we worship their
virtues rather than worshipping any one particular entity. This pujan reminds
us that, we need to be like them. This pujan creates positive
vibrations around us, and repels negative ones. This puja will be conducted
in Digambar tradition.
Siddhachakra Pujä
The Siddhachakra Yantra depicts our whole religion, the
principal nine elements and the whole dharma, the whole religion is presented
in this Siddha Chakra. The Siddha Chakra means - 'siddha' means liberated and
'chakra' means release of karmic bondages. When we worship the Siddha Chakra
one soul becomes liberated of karmic bondages. The Siddha Chakra puja was
first performed by King Shripal and Queen Mayana to celebrate the completion
of Ayambil Oli.
This puja will be conducted in Shwetambar tradition.
