"Shri Atma-Siddhi Shashtra" is a holy scripture, a sacred book. So also its author Shrimad Rajchandra is one of the adored, holy, true spiritual Masters.
“Shri Atma-Siddhi’ which describes and brings out the absolute purity of the soul in the form of a dialogue on the six aphorisms, lead to the further purification and liberation of soul. May it also lead to the attainment of self-realization and ultimately the liberation of the aspirants of self-realization who study it with reverence.
Shrimad Rajchandra composed ‘Shri Atma Siddhi’ shashtra on the night of October 22, 1896. (Aasovad ekam smavat 1952 per Hindu calendar) at Nadiad. a town in Gujarat, specially for his ardent disciple Shri Sobhagbhai on his request to him. When Shrimadji wrote a “Chha Pada Patra” for Munishri Lalluji Maharaj (Shri Laghuraj Swami) and gave a copy to Shri Sobhagbhai for the benefit of their souls, Sobhagbhai exclaimed, ”Prabhu at this age it is very difficult to remember this patra but if you give us something in the form of a poetry, it will be easier to remember and sing.”
Shrimadji composed flawlessly 142 stanzas in about 90 minutes without replacing a word for word, without pausing anywhere to think, and without using any reference of a book or scripture while writing and still totally covering the Jain Philosophy, the heart of Shri Mahavir and a path of self realization- Moksha- in this poetry, called Shri Atma-Siddhi Shashtra.
