As
announced earlier, we have started the new year (2018-19) of
our highly successful program ‘The US Presidents Volunteer Service Awards’
(PVSA) for JCNC youth age 13 to 19. This program was
launched new in 2017 by JCNC 2017 Executive Committee and
five youth volunteers from our community were honored during
the Mahavir Janma Kalyanak event of 2018
JCNC
has now partnered-up with Corporation
for National Community to Service Award for
our deserving young volunteers. The aim of the
program is to promote Jain principals, the program
is designed to prepare our next generation
leadership in such a way that they will be
inspired to participate in leading volunteer
activities at JCNC. In return, they will be
awarded with volunteer
service credits and the PVSA certificate signed by
the President of United States.
Rules &
Eligibility Criteria (Updated)
* Minimum Age for enrollment will be considered as of March 2018. **Applicable age-group for award Level and required hours (whether Age 13-15 or Age 16-19) will be determined per volunteer's age as of Feb , 2019 ***Participants serving less than 50 hours
in Age 14 & 15 category and less than 100 hours in Age 16
to 19 category will not qualify for
certification & award. These are the key
requirements of the program.
We will arrange for a follow-up
meeting with the entire group participating in this program
in late April/Early May to go thru with much more detail,
including work assignments, the roles, and responsibilities, the
method of reporting and validation of
service hours, etc.
JCNC
Youth Service Awards Steering Committee will
oversee operations & integrity of this
program. Members of this committee are:
